Welcome to Blackler Mastering. My name is Kevin Blackler and I am a mastering engineer serving the greater NYC area as well as clients from around the world. I built this studio in Brooklyn, NY after working as a mastering engineer for the now defunct Sony Music Studios in Manhattan, NY from 2004- 07. Luckily, I was able to purchase the entire room I used to work in while at Sony (suite M6) and reconstruct it at Blackler Mastering. Everything in my mastering chain is the same as it was at Sony, offering my clients the same world class sound,yet at an affordable price.


Previous artists I've mastered include Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes, K’Naan, The Library is on Fire, Hymns, Prodigy, Plies, Apl.De.Ap of the Black Eyed Peas, Joey DeFancesco, Joe Chambers, Paul Oakenfold, the Metropolitan Opera, as well as numerous albums from independent artists in all genres from around the world. I have also been an assistant mastering engineer on numerous sessions for artists such as Kanye West, Beyonce, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Billy Joel, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, etc. while at Sony.
